Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Next Stager (the "Service"), available at nextstager.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

2. The Service

Next Stager provides AI-powered coaching and professional development tools, including coaching conversations, difficult-conversation practice, leadership assessments, and growth planning, along with aggregated engagement insights for organization administrators.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Accounts are typically created under an organization using an invite code issued to that organization; your organization's administrators may manage your membership (for example, deactivating your account when you leave the organization).

4. Organizations and administrators

Subscriptions belong to the organization. Organization administrators can see the organization's member roster and aggregated, anonymized usage and trend data. Administrators do not have access to the content of individual coaching conversations, assessments, or growth plans, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid features require an active organization subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period; fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice, effective from the next billing period.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service in violation of applicable law;
  • attempt to access another user's data or probe, disable, or disrupt the Service or its security measures;
  • use the Service to harass, discriminate against, or make automated employment decisions about any person;
  • resell the Service or use it to build a competing product, or scrape or bulk extract content from it;
  • share invite codes outside your organization.

7. AI-generated content

Coaching responses, assessments, and plans are generated by artificial intelligence. They are provided for professional development purposes only and may contain inaccuracies. They are not professional, legal, medical, psychological, or financial advice, and are not a substitute for the judgment of qualified professionals or for your own judgment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact a qualified professional or local emergency services.

8. Your content and our rights

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service — including processing your content with our AI providers to generate responses and to produce aggregated, anonymized insights for your organization. The Service itself, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Next Stager and protected by intellectual property laws.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, including our privacy-by-design commitments to employees.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. Your organization may deactivate your membership. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or where required to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 7, 8, 11, and 12) survive.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Next Stager will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amounts your organization paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app notice). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
